On April 14, 2013 Laudanum will be officially 3 years old in Entropia. To celebrate we are offering the following:

This card uses solid transistors, and features a lifetime warranty that transfers if you ever sell the card or give it away. This card will be sent to your door, wherever you are. Your details will be kept confidential, of course.

To qualify for this prize you should first be an active Laudanum member, and second write on our forums, by April 10, 2013, an essay of no less than 500 words stating why you like Entropia Universe, and why Laudanum is the society that is right for you. Extra points will be given for screenshots and well researched examples.

Your grammar does not need to be impeccable. We understand everyone is not a native English speaker, and some English speakers are not the best at grammar anyway. A good effort is always appreciated.

Word counts will be checked. Any essays less than 500 words will be ineligible. Each guild leader will pick their favorite. Magyar will then pick out of those selected. All essays should be posted to our forum under Public Discussion.

Why an essay? Because I’m a former English teacher, and I like to see what people can do here! I find it interesting, and also free. Everyone can participate, you dont need to be an uber or a high depositor to win.

Other prizes will be announced. Other contests will also be announced, both in-world and otherwise. Stay tuned on our website and facebook as things develop here.

I will also donate 2 more prizes if we are also able to get 100 likes on our Facebook Page, and on my avatar’s Facebook Page.

We are currently seeking donations from anyone within the society who wishes to contribute towards the pot here. All donations will be published at the end of the event, with names removed, for those curious about accounting.

This is the first time we have tried paypal donations for our events. Prize amounts will vary depending on how many donations we get. I have already donated the card, so now it’s up to you all! If we get alot, we might just be giving away a laptop. Dare to dream! If this is successful we will implement this for our holiday party, too.
