Something is wrong with the pack download right now.

Has anybody tried "The 1.7.10 Pack" out yet?

It's an "everything, including the kitchen sink" type of pack, very similar to the TSC. I've been playing it for awhile in singleplayer and really like it. In addition to it being a stable managed pack, there's already several active servers out there we could just play on without putting any time/effort/money into our own.

Oh...and FYI. I cancelled the dedicated server since nobody in |LAB| seemed to be using it (meaning the TSC server and pack is down until further notice).

Yeah, that modpack definitely looks good, though it does have some of the fat I was going to trim in 2.0. I do kind of like having the control of having our own, although obviously the drawback is having to put a lot of effort into maintaining it.

Also, no need to worry about any of the shit we've built. I have the world and everything saved to both my computers. Whenever the TSC comes back, everything will be right where we left it.

I propose we pick one of these servers, and set a date for us to go in as a group, and then promote it to the people we know play minecraft. How about we do our initial exploring on Good Friday, to basically determine if we like the server we picked, then Saturday will be the main event day.

I'm all for that. :D

OK, well you should pick the servers we try out. I'm not good at that. I go to random servers from random lists and end up with crazy lag.
