Taking recommendations. Since there's only a handful of people active in the group, you can make multiple suggestions. They can be funny, but if they're ♥♥♥♥ or dumb I'll be very upset with you!

After I feel like we've got enough or Phase 4 is about to start I'll assign each one a number, run a random number generator several hundred times and see which one wins.

Applications will be open until July 15th. I've read around that some people are experiencing errors after their character has been transfered, so be sure to follow up afterwards and make sure everything went smoothly. Otherwise, support's actually been pretty helpful recently.

Sup, dudes. I wanted to let you guys know of a few happenings going on.

First off, Beta 3 will be starting this weekend, if you didn't already know. For those of you who suffered through 1.0 but didn't opt to get Legacy on your account, this is your guaranteed shot into the beta testing period if you haven't gotten in via lottery.

While nothing that happens in Beta 3 will carry over into retail, one thing they are starting to test is importing characters from 1.0. So maybe you should check in at least once or twice during Beta 3 to make sure they didn't royaly ♥♥♥♥ your character's levels up! You do get a chance to remodel your character starting in Beta 4, so if you come out looking ugly who even gives a ♥♥♥♥.


With the opening of Beta 3, we'll also see the opening of a new data center in beautiful Ontario, Canada. This means lower latency overall for most non-Japanese players (sorry Australia :( ). As Gungir, the server that members of this linkshell are located on, is still located in Japan, we're looking to move west (east?) to a more local server.

Server transfer applications will be opening up starting at Beta 3, with the actual transfer happening on Beta 4. So go ahead and suffer on Gungnir for a while longer, or maybe even start a new character on an NA/EU server and see how that feels!

As of now, the current server we are planing to move to is Hyperion. This decision is not final, and has been made with no regard to where other groups are moving. However, if there are no objections, I would ask that you please apply for transfer to Hyperion as soon as the transfer applications become available.

Even if you do not plan on playing at Beta 4 and/or retail, I would still ask that you complete the transfer process as a precaution. We'd always love to have you back if you decide to pick up the game in the future!


Even in the best of scenarios, the group at the moment is pretty sparse. A few people have left the group, and others probably won't be coming back at all. That's why I'd like to recommend that, if you are planning to play Beta 3 and Beta 4, that you make some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ friends. Given that the Duty Finder will pair you up with people across servers, this'll be kind of difficult, but if you end up in a group with some pretty cool cats, try to get them to join us! I'm not saying hassle someone to join the linkshell, but just pretend you're trying to sell them a knife set ping them and see if they're interested. I'm sure a lot of people, especially new players, would love to join.

Ideally, we'd like to have a situation where if someone wants to do X event or Y dungeon, they should be able to gather people from the linkshell and plug holes in with random pubbies. It shouldn't end up being some big ol' end game shell, but a large social group is always nice to have.

As far as the linkshell name is concerned, we're open to suggestions right now. As long as it isn't stupid or pretentious (r.i.p. Kaizen), it'll definitely be something we can roll with. Otherwise, idk, we could use Secret Club again, but that's kind of lame.

Once we decide on a name, we'll also be launching another new Steam group to match.

No really, though. If you played on the XI Asura shell, you might remember me as Bismuth. While everyone ran off to play 4.0, I sat around waiting for a PS3 beta that never came. But, well, here we are! I do still play XI regularly, but I'm back on Quetzalcoatl, and I'm a lot cooler than you now!

Also I'm better at organizing than anyone else here so w/e no one else is gonna do it :v
