So I found this game a month ago when I was looking through one of the best video game website ever called Itch.io, It has some of the best games to be ever published. It's probably better than Steam because there's a lot of worth-to-play free games there. And I was looking for metroidvanias again like I usually do and I came across this upcoming game and man doesn't it look mind-blowing. It also included a demo so I got it. I played it and it was some of the surprising games I've ever played. It's feels like such a polished and complete retro game. The art style looks amazing and colorful, the gameplay feels absolutely satisfying and the bosses themselves are something special for this game! You better check this game out and play the demo for yourselves rather instead of watching other people play it. Trust me this game will leave you in awe of how surprising it felt.

I normally found this project back from last year before Luna Nights even existed. There were just some GIFs about how the game looks like and it looks amazing. The character's sprites look really well made, cute and really fun, and the combat looks highly hectic. A teaser of the game was shown in July and then it showed the name as well. But now that's in Early Access, the game is only about an hour long or so. But if you want to support the developers you should definitely check it out! Looks amazing!

Yacht Club presents another golden title. I'm not sure whether it's a metroidvania or not, it looks more like an action-platformer. We all know 'The Messenger' by the way, but I knew about Cyber Shadow before The Messenger because I use Twitter and look at WIPs. Even though many ninja games have been out, this one looks worth as always!

May seem like an Owlboy and Catmaze looking game but this one looks actually pretty good. A metroidvania with RPG elements (something like in Chasm) with a quirky and happy style that gets you into the game easily and you're feel that you're gonna play it more and more. However in the late-game it becomes a little deep but overall a fun looking game!

It's really interesting to see the developer making a sequel to this first amazing and unforgiving piece of art game. Especially because he's also making another game called "Astalon: Tears of Earth". This time it has improved graphics and improved gameplay. It's going to be an absolute blast when it will come out.

This game looks absolutely outstanding! The demo is about 2 hours long and I can already feel it that this is gonna be huge and epic (like 40+ hours long). Neat retro graphics, DNA-Gun, Fun and epic boss battles, Galaxy Exploration and metroidvania style planets. However Every galaxy and planet is not randomly generated, all of these are designed with care and attention so every planet feels surprising and refreshing. It's a must play for everyone who loves retro and metroidvanias as a whole!

Can't wait for this since I like the first game! ESA 2 brings back the good old satisfying upgrades like the Hookshot and the Dash but with better and more polished graphics, deeper gameplay, more focused on the main story and less cryptic post-game puzzles. An absolute must play for those who liked the first game! (WARNING! The content you might see from the developer it's still in early development because the dev started making the game back from scratch because he had some issues making it!)

I know this won't come out on PC till the next 2 years but I put it here anyway, since I'm genuinely surprised that a sequel to the beloved metroid love letter is finally announced in such a big surprise, and EVEN BETTER! The graphics now look about similar to ESA and the gameplay looks even smoother than before. If you want a Switch badly to play this, THEN GET A SWITCH ALREADY!! It's a NO BRAINER for this title!

Prepare yourself for the next game from Team Cherry, This thing used to be an upcoming DLC where you play as Hornet back in the day but the game was too big to fit in the original game since all the DLCs came out. So they made a entirely brand new sequel instead in the past 2 years as a surprise reveal, and the reveal was out on the Valentine's day. The game looks absolutely scrumptious, fluid, surprising and phenomenal! I haven't got enough words to describe how good this new sequel is, but all I can say is: Team Cherry, you're an absolute Legend with a capital L! I absolutely can't wait to buy the mysterious new sequel! After how much of a golden feast Hollow Knight was, prepare yourself for the grand dessert that Silksong is!

The Messenger is currently the biggest hype, many critics have been giving it a 10/10 and my god it is marvelous! Also one of my fellow curators posted an announcement recently called 'The Messenger Metroidvania Confirmed'. Well i'm currently questioning about this, whether it's a metroidvania or not. Technically what i've seen on this announcement i've seen that he posted about the 8 to 16 bit gimmick thing and that is a Ninja Gaiden combined with metroidvania, It technically is like a Ninja Gaiden and I agree that it's like Shovel Knight the most but i'm not sure if it's a metroidvania or not. We'll see.

There's this new undrerrated metroidvania coming in 2019 called Kunai. It's made by TurtleBlaze who made a mobile racing game for iOS called Intergalactic Road Warriors. However this one is not coming on mobile, but it's coming on these upcoming platforms: Xbox One, PS4, PC and Switch. I think it's gonna be really exciting and awesome because it really has potential and it's super polished, I really want to give this dev some attention because he's such a great dev and not only this but I want metroidvania fans to get attracted to this game because I love it so much and so will my fellow members of this group. I wish for a demo of this one day.
