THE CAVE SERVER WILL SHUT DOWN ON 5/12/17.

Yes, the server is closing. No, I'm not joking, and no I will not change my mind, sorry.


I just don't play Don't Starve Together almost at all anymore. I'm sinking my own money into the upkeep of a server I no longer participate in other than keeping it up to date and running.

Not to mention that owning a server takes a lot of the fun out of playing the game as well, as some of you might be well aware.


That being said, I'm glad I did open up this server, its introduced me to a lot of good people. I had a lot of fun while it lasted and don't regret anything about it.

As for the group page, I dunno. You can't exactly delete groups on Steam. I'll think about that later.

The modlist is still posted on the front page, so I encourage everyone who enjoyed playing here to take that list and make their own servers to enjoy with your friends.

Hey everyone, as I mentioned before, I have made the server public once again.

I wanted to do a bit more research into mods that would assist me in the anti-griefing process, but life finds a way of screwing over your plans and I've been away from my computer the whole weekend.

The way things are going I doubt I'll be able to really sit down and focus on this until this coming weekend, but the changes I make will hopefully affect the server in a positve way. You'll have to bear with me though, I'll be editing code and that is not my strong suit.

In the meantime, enjoy the server, since it'll be a bit busier than it has been recently.

For those of you who were against the server going public again, if things go well, then I might be able to accomodate you in the near future.

Hey everyone, just letting you all know that in all likelihood the server will be going public again in the near future, unless I get some convincing arguments to the contrary.

Before it does go public again I'll be working to put more anti-griefing mods in place, as well as looking for people to be mods on the server.

What I would like to do, as I've said in the past, is expand the server. If I can start generating money enough for the server's upkeep, I'd like to make a separate server for the people who have been playing on the private server to essentially have their own world with all the same mods.

But on the topic of getting some moderators for the server, I'm going to be opening a section of the forum for applications that you can submit to if you want. More details to be found there.

Most people who play here regularly already know each other, but since the only way for people to join these days is by invitation, I figure that those who are new to the community should have an outlet to introduce themselves.

Hence the new section of the forum. Use it or don't, it is your decision, but it could be fun.
