New forums are up and running

Invision is finally uploaded and mostly configured now. You can start registering there. I am currently just finishing off the configuration settings, usergroups and the forum layout. The plan of the website will be laid out once all of that is done.

In the coming days I will get back the Steam integration again and the game database information pages.

Hope you guys think the new forums is more professional over MyBB.

Systems and games are now added!

It's taken a fair few weeks trying to manage it but I have now managed to get all systems and games added to the database. Not only that but the games are also automatically pointed towards the systems they have been released on.

As the data has come from The Game Database I obviously only wanted to retrieve the game's year released on that system, the game name, the system name, and that's it. The reason I have done this is because of copyright issues and I don't want to take credit and data from someone that has already done the hard work.

Nevertheless the next step now is to link the Steam games to the relative game from that database. There will be some games that are released that aren't on the Database in which case I will need to make some sort of flag system where the user can then submit the game for inclusion.

Scraping information was a one time only thing (grabbing data from The Games Database) and won't be required again however it looks like I know exactly what will be on the first tutorials list.

It's getting there guys and hopefully it will be sometime next month when you can start to check off a list of games you own or have played.
