So, we've decided to get a little do-si-do together and create our own private server for the TF2 Halloween Event.

To join this server, there are a few instructions.

First, get the unmanaged version of LogMeIn Hamachi. (It can be found at https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/download.aspx)
The installation process is pretty quick and straightforward.

Afterwards, set your Hamachi name to whatever your steam name is (nothing else). Then under the network tab, click "Join an existing network". The network ID is 'HCI TF2 Community' and password is 'halloween'. If there are names in the network which are not found to belong to any of those from the group, the user will be kicked from the network.

Lastly, connect to the server by using the console (to enable, go to options > keyboard > advanced > enable developer's console -- to open the console, press the tilde ( ~ ) key) and inputting "connect 5.61.82.180:27015".

First off, NO GRIEFING. That means no ruining others' fun.
Also, be polite. No one likes to have to read swear words.
Finally, the gift queue. We run a queue on the server where people take turns to get the halloween gifts. Anyone can physically get the gift box in the map, but that person should trade whatever he received to the whoever's turn it is. Therefore, that means that if you're a free2play player, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T TAKE THE GIFTS (when it's not your turn)! This is to ensure that the admins can let everyone have a gift. Because F2P players can't trade items away, the person whose turn it is is unable to receive the gift.

On another note, idlers are allowed in the server. If you need to be away or whatnot, you can simply change team to spectator or idle in spawn, and the server is not set to kick idlers. This is to ensure that the event is not disrupted as 10 people are required in the server.

Finally, there will be a maximum of 12 slots in the server.
