Profit right there, again, rinse and repeat, until one is stocked up and set for their endgame. another way of profit that i had heard about was steam trading cards. Theres actually a term for this, but i had forgotten, but basically its buying trading cards for metal (may range from 0.11 to 0.55) then selling those in the steam market, for your steam cash. after gathering enough money, one can go and buy keys. After buying keys, one can go unusual quickbuying and selling, or non-unusual cosmetics or items quickbuying and quickselling. Rinse and repeat. I think thats all that i had known for now.

Setting yourself up with keys, then selling the keys for metal. If one cannot buy with keys, they can go and farm for dropped weapons by playing the game. They can then do scrapbanking which is selling a unique weapon for a scrap, which gets them 0.05 refined of profit. Scrapbanking is getting a bit hard these days as there is scrap.tf, one can go and sell those weapon drops to scrap.tf, gather some metal, and start buying craft hats or cosmetics. When one has metals already, they start buying cosmetics or non-unique items(vintages or stranges) at discount or quicksell prices, then they can sell those at full price or with item overpay. Then rinse and repeat until one has gathered enough metal for keys.

buying keys off community market, selling them for ref on scrap.tf and then buy things using ref. scrap.tf is a good way to buy things with ref when you cant find anyone to trade with
