Choose My Fate Improvements
After last night's stream, the statistics showed that 75% of all requested loadouts were played, 22% were abandoned, and the remaining 3% were cut off due to the stream ending. We had a typical viewer count (averaging ~20-25), so missing out on 3% seems fine to me (we're always going to lose some when the stream ends), but 22% being abandoned seems high.

I'm curious to know what you guys think might make choose my fate better. One idea that I've been considering for a while now is to give priority to viewers that have not requested anything yet. Meaning, if you've been sitting in the stream since 10, and someone joins at midnight and submits a request, theirs will jump ahead in line in front of anything you currently have in queue. My big fear with this is that it might lead to starvation for some users - i.e. if new users keep showing up and requesting something, someone who has been watching the stream longer may have requests that never get played - and the last thing I want to do is penalize people for sticking around longer.

What do you guys think could make this work better, if anything?

The idea seems pretty good but also having it so that the more requests you add the longer you have to wait to post a new one or something. Also why are there 100 people in this group but only like 10 show up to streams..?

I like the idea about increasing wait time between requests with each request. I'm going to give that one some thought.

In the meantime, I've increased the amount of time before loadouts are removed for disconnected viewers. I did some testing and realized that it's pretty common for Twitch IRC to not acknowledge someone has rejoined within 2 minutes, so peoples' loadouts could just vanish for no reason. I increased this to three minutes and hope it helps reduce the accidental removals.

Sounds good.

This isn't really a chose my fate improvement but it seems like a cool Idea. So this streamer called RedditJhonny has this game set up maybe somthing like it would improve chattter in the chat: The spychecking game is something for my chat to do while watching, and allows me to give back with a little game of chance.

To participate, simply type !spycheck in chat. You'll either gain or lose scrap metal. You can only spycheck once every 10 minutes, or you will lose 1 scrap! Check the group chat to see your results!

!spycrab is available to you once every 15 minutes. This is a risky command, as it has a 50% chance of doubling your scrap or removing all of it!

!buykey to buy a key for 10 scrap. You can unbox a crate with one key, add a custom weapon to the weapon list for 3 keys, add a custom weapon to the spy weapon list for 6 keys, or add a name to the spy mains list for 8 keys.

!unbox a crate if you have a key, you have a 1% chance to unbox an unusual, which will earn you a $10 of games or items on steam.
