I think the situation with the Choice, due to the different tiers and the hidden classic tier, leads to weird posts where it is hard to understand the seller's position.

It would be nice if there were some guidelines to define the split of values between games in the Choice. Like what defines a headliner? How should they be price compared to more niche indie games? Etc.

Just general guidelines to help sellers and buyers know what to expect.

Yep, and I saw at least one person buy games and simultaneously sell them for more.

I think Humble Choice, with its murky tiers, has brought too much attention from traders who see easy arbitrages, and we are sometimes losing the spirit of the group buys.

I have written about it in the past, and I will state it here again: that would be nice if there were some guidelines for people to price their stuff. Like if you have a classic tier, you get 10 games for $12 (less if you have a $3 coupon), and then, how should we price games? Based on historical low, release date, times bundled before, demand (how to measure)? With respect to demand, I think Jurassic Park is the highlight of the bundle, along with XCOM, as these two are the games which are sold in this group at the highest price.

Yes, I have seen it a few times. I think it is people taking advantage of the classic price, and of coupons, in order to make a profit. For instance, Humble has offered to me a $3 discount[1] if I bought the Humble Choice bundle for March ; that was a few days ago. So I could imagine people in a similar situation to mine trying to sell it wholesale for $12 in order to turn a $3 profit, or selling the three or four "headliners" for $9, so that they get the six or seven smaller games for free. However, the only proof of such action is only in possession of the offender, so there is nothing which can be done because of plausible deniability.

I posted about this situation early March in another thread[2], with archives[3] and [4].

Personally, I have planned to let the discount expire, because I cannot be hassled to host a bundle split for a bundle in which there is no game of interest to me. Plus, making a 33% profit without telling the buyer about it would be against the rules of this Steam group, so I would not risk it.
