is this why people are keeping humble gift links for themselves on groupbuys and selling only the steam key?
Many purchases from Humble Bundle contain DRM-free content... Android games, eBooks, wallpapers, and audiobooks/soundtracks are found along with drm free versions of the games. are people now trying to hog all that drm free stuff to themselves by refusing to give gift links? so they can maybe sell the game and yet still own it drm free along with all the extra goodies on humble?

i was going thru my humble library and found a huge treasure trove of drm free games and other stuff... i always ask for gift links, but now more and more people on groupbuys are refusing to sell their humble gift link and only selling the steam key.

also, if someone ever steals my steam account, can i use my humble library with it's huge list of steam keys that all match up with the steam keys of my stolen account to prove it's my steam account? if not, at least i'd have my huge humble library of drm free versions of some of my steam games and all that extra free content... i also found some 1-1.5 hour long comedian shows in my humble library. i have no idea where they came from.

turns out you dont get any drm free stuff from gift links... all that drm free content in my humble library must be from bundles i bought and not from gift links.

Yeah, it was always like that, all DRM-free stuff stays in original buyer's library.

There's a rumour, that giftlinks are supposed to be trackable by Humble Bundle and can mark you as a trader if you send it to many different recipients. Many users try to avoid sending giftlinks now and resellers are angry :inquisitive:

so, even tho groupbuys sellers are not making profit, they still get all that drm free content? nice... maybe i should start selling on groupbuys instead of just buying from there... :) make my humble library even yet still more huge even if i sell all the games... sweet! :)

I tend to ask people if they want links or keys. Some people just don't care since they'll play it on Steam anyway
