[QUESTION] A way to report all the overflow of profit lately with HB?
I keep seeing profit on HB choice games on EVERY new split, where the people keep like 1-3 games and split the rest, and the final sum of money they ask is even MORE than the cost of the bundle itself. So not only they keep 1,2 or 3 games, they also make profit. Is there a way to stop this? Because ppl seem to care nothing about it and buy take part on those splits anyways...

This.

Also to paraphrase a little ... ppl Mods seem to care nothing about it, because expect ppl won't jump on inflated prices anyways... but they do :inquisitive:

I'm noticing some things in common with those profiters. They either omit the games they keep, or they write them on the post, but without a price.

Idk, I have been squishing my brains to split fairly a bundle, and then cancelling it because I took too much loss for lack of interest.

It's becoming impossible to buy anything with those kind of splits, I won't support that and idk how to deal with them.

It's all obvious, things like you said + claiming being on Premium plan, but all of them are on Classic plan fo sure, avoiding the rule to post pricing of all games (games to keep included) ... I see even long time members doing it :tank:

but no one cares and still buying it :sstpistol::Princerupert:

That thing about Premium is also a common, but it's stupid, Premium can only get 9 games while classic get 10 games, and when they split, they split 10 games XD

Also, I have seen some people simultaneously ask to purchase ( https://archive.is/5rVAB ) :

Mo: Astray - 0.80 euro
Warhammer 40k Gladius - Relics of War - 1.70 euro

and offer to sell ( https://archive.is/7xfBZ ):

(2x) Warhammer 40k Gladius - 2€
(2x) MO:Astray - 1.5€

I don't know how this kind of stuff can be reported. I guess we have to live with it.

I assume by using the flag left of the quote symbol on a specific post

I have done that, but I'm not sure if that works at all, seeing nothing changes.

I've been in this group for over four years and what's been happening these last few months is really awful.

I think it needed a little harder hand from the moderators or adding new ones so that there is a little more control

Totally agree.

Profit is not only happening from the host side but also from the buyers, there are people who buy high demand games and bundle headliners at split price and are then able to trade or resell them for a much higher value.

Moreover the host often remains with low demand leftovers no one wants, there are some monthly/choice games going literally for cents.

I think it's hard to fight both exploitative behaviors in a balanced way.

I also take that into consideration, and I have reported resellers in this group too who would hoard every copy of X game to sell them later. Sometimes I HAD to buy the bundle myself because they would get all the copies, OR due to multibuy rpreference, forced to buy more games to get the one I want. Also people who post fast, then edit their comment...
The Fighter 6 May, 2020 @ 3:53am
That's the main reason I left the group. There are way too many resellers. I have reported so many of them with proofs but nobody was even interested on answering me something simple like I am wrong.

I keep saying the same thing... we need a little more action from the moderators and sadly a little "cleaning" in the group if we want it to go back to what it was long ago.

I only joined this group a few months ago and it's been amazing, the multitude of games available combined with low prizes and honest and super fast sellers really surprised me.

Since all these problems started around the time I joined, I can't help but feel somewhat responsible and I'll try to be more careful from now on when buying games from Group Buys.

All I have is my word, for what it's worth, I promise to never resell a game I buy from Group Buys.

I hope mods will crack down on this. This group is unique and the idea is noble. I've noticed at least 1 reseller here buying games (I know him by name and post type).
