I think that if you go into your HB account, select "Keys", South Park will appear as something, which you can make a gift link of. That way, when somebody, who is in a ROW region uses the gift link, and HB gives them a Steam key, they will get ROW key, because HB will see, that the gift link was used outside of Germany. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's how it works.

Are you sure that it works? I think the (regional) key is already assigned to the purchase and creating a gift link will only "hide" the key in a gift link. I.e. if you get a bundle gifted you get the keys from the region where the bundle was bought and not where the gift was activated

Do you think this low violence version is the same as for Taiwan, for example? Wonder if it'll work there.

IDDQD and Alkali Ali are right. Keys are 'allocated' when you buy the bundle. Not when a gift link is redeemed. Gift links hide the key, so only the person redeeming it can see it.

The censored Singapore/HK/Taiwan version is the Australian version. It has less censorship compared to the German version. All the censored keys are fully region free (just not the other way round).

tl;dr: You'll get the German version with or without a gift link, and it'll work whereever you live.

Sorry but just to clarify since I live in Australia, buying a key from an American (for example) would give me the uncut version because regional keys are generated on purchase... right?

Yes, you would get the American/western version. I once bought a Brazillian key, and it was specifically called the Latin American version when I redeemed the key.

I think you would get an error saying "This product can't be activated in your region", likely. Seems "region free" copies purchased in EU/USA and RU/CIS still can't activated and played in Germany, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Israel.

You guaranteely won't able able to redeem it. Edit. Hold on, you WILL be able to activate it maybe, but even so you'll get censored version.

You might need a VPN to activate outside Germany but I'm not sure.

Hi, I although had the German Edition and a friend from Australia took it and it worked well. It was registered as South Park DE (censored) but ROW.
