I'm NEW to this-- I don't even have any fancy emoticons. I've never hosted one of these before, and didn't manage to get in on any of the other reservations. Does anyone know the difference between the price per bundle between 20 and 40 slots? With 40 slots it's usually around the $1 mark.

The difference is total number of bundles to split costs to.
To get x4 bonus on happy hours, you need to buy 1 bundle for full price before happy hours.
Price of hh's bundle is less than price of first bundle, therefore more bundles from happy hours you have, cheaper average price per bundle you get.
(1 expensive bundle + 20 cheap bundles) / 21 > (1 expensive bundle + 40 cheap bundles) / 41
For example (let's say that full price is 3$, hh is 1$ per bundle): (3 + 20*1) / 21 = 1.095$ > 1.048$ = (3 + 40*1) / 41
