I have recently solved my constant crashing on new game or loading with MWSE checked in MGE XE by adding Morrowind as a DEP exception in Windows. Just go to your Control Panel>System>Advanced System Settings>Performance>Data Execution Prevention and just add Morrowind.exe to the exceptions list. If you've bought Dark Souls PTD, you should add the Game.exe for that as well.
