Eco League Week 1 has begun and Team GNK started off the season without their main starter Punk. Hootie then decided to have Ricky step up to fill in the void. GNK started off shaky the 1st 6 rounds of the match by going 1-5 against Synthesis Gaming. Losing all the pistol rounds as a CT set off Hootie. They also lost 2 of the next 3 rounds. After watching the first 6 rounds, it looked like the match belonged to Synthesis Gaming. With the team looking bad and out of sync, Hootie had to be more vocal to get the team in the same page. With his vocal leadership, the team started feeding off and responded quite well by taking 8 of the next 9 rounds led by shibby, bano and kevin, shutting the Synthesis Gaming DOWN!!! Team GNK showed resiliency by coming back and ending the 1st half score of 9-6 in favor of Team GNK.

Team GNK had momentum moving on to the 2nd half. With the help of Ricky's strat calling, they took all the pistol rounds 3-0. Synthesis Gaming showed heart by winning the next 3 rounds tying team GNK in second half 3-3. Team GNK knew that they needed to play smarter and to work on picks on the 7th rounds because they knew that round was big for them. Bano and Shibby then responded big that round getting 2K's each making it 4-3 them. The momentum was clearly on Team GNK's side as they shut down the other team after 6th round, tallying 12-3 final score in second half in favor of Team GNK.

Great Job guys on an easy win against whyDENY? Gaming 16-8. Keep it Rolling!!!!!!

Once again, Team GNK ranked #17 has proven critics wrong. Although "whyDENY? Gaming" was ranked #19 coming in the match, they were still the heavy favorites of the skeptics. Early on the match, Punk, Bano and Shibby set the tone by playing passively during the first 3 pistol rounds. It gave Team GNK 3-0 lead early on first half of the match as a T. With the help of Bano's strat calling, Shibby was able to pick guys randomly, as well as Punk's ridiculuos shots. Although lagging most of 1st half, Kevzilla managed to get 12 kills in 1st half that helped Team GNK breeze through as Terrorists on Russka 10-5. Team GNK knew before the match that they needed to improve holding sites on CT side if they wanted to be succesful. So what did they do? They played smart 2nd half by saving first 3 rounds and winning 2 out of 3. The rest was history as they shut down and rolled whyDENY? Gaming in 2nd half. Once again, Team GNK brought in their best for last by having Hootie ace the last round of the match to seal the deal.

Team GNK coming to the game ranked #25 was an underdog to the #13 ranked Waste Management but Team GnK set up the momentum early on 1st half of the match as Terrorists in de_contra. Led by Punk, Shibby and Hootie, they manage to rack up 11 rounds on T -side, setting themselves for an upset win. The momentum carried on to the 2nd half for Team GnK by winning first 3 rounds of the CT-side making it 14-4. Although the team had a comfortable lead from 1st half, Waste Management shifted the game momentum by winning 9 rounds in a row in 2nd half. gnk. Punk as expected was clutch when the team needed him the most, Acing the 14th round of the match 1 v 5 situation while the bomb was planted. Ending the match in a fashion with a final score of 16-13.
