Yes, sometimes parts of the model would just turn to the left. However, even recompiling straight from decompile never fixed my issue, it still broke by rotating some anims left in game D:

So I'm working on a project that involves the Star Wars sweps. We wanted to create some new animations for them to go with the project however, when we decompile any view model all the anims just break. Now we could spend time fixing them all, but we shouldn't have to.

The issue is from what I can tell is, the decompiler is breaking the anims, as i've done tests where i've not even imported them to Blender, and just compiled them straight back into mdl files.

Sometimes the bone structure flips 90/180 to the left or right, other times it's part of the mesh that flips.

What could be causing this and has anyone else come across this problem?

Yeah okay, not a bad idea!

Basically I want to make this thread after being ‘hired’ for commission and either had people try and trick either myself and friends into releasing the files before payment, paypal chargebacks, refusal for payment (unjustified), or have waited till the end of the project to say they don’t want it anymore. This thread enables us as creators to share our experiences and let each other know about people who try these things on. As it is a waste of time and hurts us deeply 😭

After a long wait for St....

Yup when I was talking to them they cancelled the ticket half way through so we never came to a conclusion.

After a long wait for Steam to respond to me about how to lift the ban, they finally gave me info about who had it banned, and turns out it was Facepunch themselves. Following up with them, to see if I can wittle them down a wee bit to a conclusion to this mess.

Further information from Steam Support, they've now told me that even if they wanted to unban it...They can't. So, it goes to show anything with Star Wars in the name can be reported and never be unbanned.

Update on the takedown --
I can confirm from Steam that it was a user who sent the request. It's also 'not our policy to give specific information' on packs that have been taken down. So i'll never find out what it was reported for. The case is still ongoing.

Never have I been so disappointed in someone trying to help destroy a community.
