Need help with decompiling View Models
So I'm working on a project that involves the Star Wars sweps. We wanted to create some new animations for them to go with the project however, when we decompile any view model all the anims just break. Now we could spend time fixing them all, but we shouldn't have to.

The issue is from what I can tell is, the decompiler is breaking the anims, as i've done tests where i've not even imported them to Blender, and just compiled them straight back into mdl files.

Sometimes the bone structure flips 90/180 to the left or right, other times it's part of the mesh that flips.

What could be causing this and has anyone else come across this problem?

What exactly you mean by "anims just break"? Because I had a problem that animation from decompiled V model turns left after compile (I mean, if you compile model once again, but you didnt touch anything in _anims folder), but It can be solved by re-compiling all of those initial animations once again.

Yes, sometimes parts of the model would just turn to the left. However, even recompiling straight from decompile never fixed my issue, it still broke by rotating some anims left in game D:
