A group for people who want to trade items and games on Steam

A group for people who want to trade items and games on Steam.

The new Steam trading system will allow people to trade games and in-game items. Join this group to show you have or are looking to trade games and items.

Be sure to edit your own profile to show if you have spare games to trade and if you're looking for anything in particular. Don't attach a monetary price to anything, nor put an item price like '4 tf2 weapons' next to anything, it's a bartering system, enjoy it.

How do I get into the Steam Trading Beta?

From the Steam Client, open Steam->Settings and select the ‘Steam Trading Beta’ option. The Steam Client will then need to restart in order to download and apply the change.

Beware of phishing

Dear Members,

I was contacted by someone in the group (a new member) with a scam. I want people to use the group to find trade partners, but just beware of people promising things like Steam giving you a free game if you sign up for something at a website.

These are usually phishing sites trying to get you to login with your steam id and password so that they can steal your account.

The message read:
"Hi. STEAM will give you 1 FREE game to add to your account just visit: http://website.removed"

Stay sharp, and have fun trading.

Hi Guys, I hope everyone is getting what they want from the group and having fun using the steam trade system.

I wanted to let you guys know about a Free game not on Steam. It's Tribes Ascend and I'm trying to get more people I know on Steam to play it.
