fromis_9 is a South Korean girl group formed by CJ E&M through the 2017 reality show Idol School on Mnet, currently managed by Pledis Entertainment. The group's name, pronounced as "promise" in Korean, also means "to keep their promise to be the best girl group". It is composed of members Roh Jisun, Song Hayoung, Lee Saerom, Lee Chaeyoung, Lee Nagyung, Park Jiwon, Lee Seoyeon, and Baek Jiheon. Former member Jang Gyuri left in August 2022 following contract expiry.
