Books worth recommending
I see the Athiest books discussion has been quiet for a while. Anyone have recently completed books that they'd like to recommend? Any topic is fine, i'm just looking to expand my library.

Jesus Mything in Action

Bart Ehrman temporarily had me convinced that Jesus had to exist and this book reconvinced me otherwise

A new Dan Barker book to read is:

Free Will Explained: How Science and Philosophy Converge to Create a Beautiful Illusion

I get all his books. I like them all.

I admit I have not given this book a read yet due to personal backlog, but it's certainly one I'm excited to read, maybe it will interest you as well.

Blueprint for Revolution, written by Srđa Popović

Srđa Popović is a Serbian political activist. He was a leader of the student movement Otpor! (serbian for resistance) that helped topple Serbian president Slobodan Milošević in 2000.

Or "Why Nations Fail" by Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson.

I feel the title is probably mostly self explanatory.

God: The Most Unpleasant Character in All Fiction

by: Dan Barker

https://www.amazon.com/God-Most-Unpleasant-Character-Fiction/dp/1454930101/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=

Dan Barker (1949-), a former preacher, is co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, co-host of Freethought Radio, and co-founder of The Clergy Project. After 19 years as an evangelical minister, Dan "saw the light" and announced his atheism in 1984. His first public appearance as an atheist was on Oprah Winfrey's "AM Chicago." He travels extensively, lecturing and performing on college campuses, and has participated in more than 120 public debates. A former composer of Christian music (for which he still receives royalties), Dan is now a jazz pianist and writer of freethought music.
