Y'see, I'd like to, but... Right now, we're basically organising 'em as,

1) Available on Steam!

2) Not available on Steam.

I'd do more categories, but you only get one Associated Games list per Steam Group, so if I were to try and break the Associated Games list up, I'd end up putting games you can buy on Steam in one of the forum lists, which would sorta defeat part of the purpose of organising this on Steam. =/

You could do different Steam Groups, but then you lose the focus and community.
It'd be nice to have multiple Associated Games lists here, but I don't think Valve are prioritising my particular wants and needs, damn their eyes, damn them to heck, when oh when will they learn etc.

Jokes aside, it would be nice to get that granular (FC RPGs, P&Cs, Adventure, Horror, Tank, Cam Relative controls and more filtration, oh my). You'd wonder if it'd pay off for more than the current niche of a niche, but hey, we do want to see this approach get a bigger audience, yeah? Doesn't hurt to think big.

Just thinking I might pull JRPGs like FFVII and Point-and-clicks like Memento Mori out of the main Steam list and create some separate lists in the discussions for 'em.

Looking at JRPGs (and, indeed, CRPGS like Planescape Torment), they tend not to have multiple camera angles per location (often using one large overview render), so they lack the mimicry of filmic editing I set out on the home page of the group.

Point-and-click adventures with fixed cams DO use multiple camera angles but by definition they don't have direct control of the camera, instead choosing destinations that the characters nav to by themselves.

Rrrg. Kinda wish I could make multiple official Steam Game lists for the group...

Nope, I'll take on Japanese-only games. I just added Aconcagua at the top there, so basically if it's a Fixed Camera game, we should cover it. Wondering if I should be trying to add some details to those titles, though (eg. PS1, JAP-only).

Steam Discussions have some text-formatting tools, but we might be reaching the limits of it if we tried to maintain a more complex layout with different sections, etc... It's nice and simple to maintain right now. I do occasionally think a wiki or a website would be the next stage of this group, but I don't think we're there yet.

Hey Vash, much obliged! Any help like this is much appreciated. I'd love to make these lists as complete as possible, but there's only so many games one person can play/watch on youtube...!

I'll be honest, I have a bit of a blindspot for JRPGs of the PS1 era (though I enjoyed Chrono Cross and I'll be adding it to the main Steam list (when possible!)).

And Final Fantasy VII creeps me out. I hate random encounters, as they appear in that game.

However, yep, I'll add those games to our Associated Games list and remove them from this one.
