If you need to download firearms, make sure to have half-life installed first then install the client into the half-life folder. The half life folder has changed since the game was released so you might need to manually point to it.

If you are having a problem with the mouse in the menu, first check or uncheck raw mouse input in the Options->Mouse. If it still is happening, right click your firearms launch in the steam library and hit properties. Set launch options and type in -nofbo
