FFVI: Original Sprites Project
Originally posted by siritalis:
Hi, I'm new to FFVI, Steam, and modding, but after looking over everything I decided to give this version of FFVI and your patch a shot. I first applied the defilter and then the newest version of the reshade with the toggle option. I honestly am not sure if the defilter was working, but I know the reshade was because I could see it load when I opened the game and could also toggle it. After I applied this patch though the reshade stopped working. Does anyone have any ideas? I tried deleting the reshade folder and even went back and replaced my obb folder and main.obb file with the originals and tried again, but it seems like I can't get the reshade to work.

Also, somewhat separately, I think I read that FFVI Explore isn't working right now? I tried to use it for the uncensored Celes mod, but when I loaded the main.obb file from this patch nothing showed up. There were no files or folders, and thus I was not able to see the misc folder with the rom.bin. I'm not sure if that's something to do with your patch, FF Explore, or something I'm doing, but I figured I'd mention it in case its relevant in any way. Is there maybe a certain order I should have applied things? Thanks for any help anyone can provide! I'm really looking to playing this game for the first time but am afraid to start a new file if adding any patches or mods after I start will affect my save.

If you got the defilter mod from this subforum, you got the old one. The creator of the tool just recently updated everything. See his tweet here:

And yes, the Explorer Tool was broken until the 18th. Then he tweeted the above. I haven't had time to test out the tool but now I will tonight and report back to cvg if it works so he can properly make a patch.

I haven't looked into the Celes mod, but if it is an actual patch, that might be a problem as cvg and I couldn't get a working patch due to the explorer not working. That could have been the issue.

So what you want to do is play this game with the Celes mod, the defilter mod, cvg's sprite mod and the reshade, correct? If so, I'll sit down tonight and see if there's any conflicts or any broken steps due to any of the above not being updated to the latest FFVI update. For now, if you are willing, I would advise doing the following.

Uninstall FFVI entirely. Download the Celes mod, install it. Download the defilter mod from the tweet above, install it (backups first obviously) and then apply the reshade. Test the game to make sure it is working accordingly. Only then try to apply cvg's sprite mod.
