Hi everyone! I did some sprite work and decided to change the esper Siren and the boss Goddess' sprites to be more like their Super Famicom counterparts.

For those not in the know, when Final Fantasy VI was remastered for iOS and Droid, Siren received a skirt around her formerly bare butt, and Goddess had her "top" altered to cover more cleavage, and had an extra ribbon added around her crotch area to cover that up some. Here's an Imgur album[imgur.com] comparing the different sprites. These design changes carried over to the PC port, as well. I realize that Monterossa's Uncensored Siren mod already did a decent job of reverting Siren to her original SFC sprite, but I thought I could do better, and chose to revert Goddess while I was at it.

I have included both EXE and FEP patches, downloadable here![www.bwass.org] Please check the readme included within for installation instructions.

Edit 1 - It worked great! Thanks so much, Saftle! I'm going to make a new thread for release so it isn't cluttered.

Edit 2 - The only thing we're waiting on at this point is for me to get in contact with my friend who helped me out in editing the sprites. (I have readmes in all of my mods; I like documentation!) Otherwise, it's done.

The trouble I'm getting is when I summon Siren in battle, at the moment, the EXE patched game crashes, as I think I've stated before. I followed the patching setup to the best of my ability.

Thanks Saftle! By "filenames", do you mean the modified TGAs and PNGs I have? And do you want a ZIP of the files or do you just need their names? Just figured I should clarify instead of jumping ahead! :)

From what I can tell from findings on the internet, Midgar's Flower Girl was pretty much completely removed from the PC port of Lightning Returns; the text is the only thing still there. Even the sound data for the weapon and shield are gone.

What I'M wondering is if some hopeful modder couldn't attach another double-sword's mesh, textures, and sound data, and another shield's stuff, another adornment's stuff, and another garb's stuff to the Flower Girl stats.

Like, a modder could take, like, Violet Twilight and recolor it so it's it pink and red by default, and then Il Nome Della Rosa and color it like the Flower Bearer, and color the Double Saber so it's colored like the Guard Stick. Is the pink ribbon you get with the Aerith garb a part of it by default or is it an adornment? I've never bought Aerith.

The stats and auto-abilities are recorded online, so all a modder would have to do is attach those to the renamed and recolored stuff. It would tide people over until the actual Aerith DLC was dumped and inserted into the PC game.

Does everyone follow what I'm saying? I am NOT saying "play pretend LOL," I'm suggesting a possible mod to allow you to at least access the content of the Flower Girl garb by using "placeholder" graphics and sounds. Not that *I* am offering my services; I don't know crap about modding 3D games. But it's an idea.

I actually used an online web editor called Pixlr to make the transparent images.

Edit 1 - Aaand now I'm having problems actually making the patch. Both tests so far are on EXE only; manually patching my main.OBB worked fine, as far as I can tell. Doing an automatic patch to my FFVI installation folder made the game crash when I summoned Siren in battle. A couple of times when I tried to patch the OBB, the patcher EXE crashed pretty horribly.

So... I have no idea what's going on. I followed the instructions as best as I could.

Edit 2 - Actually manually putting the files into the game yields success. Trying to patch them does not. I don't understand. Do you think it would be viable to just release an IPS patch and give detailed instructions on how to apply it?

Edit 3 - Oh, while I'm here though, here's proof of them working in-game.

But the menu has a few lingering issues. http://i.imgur.com/cSg4i3L.png See the lines around Siren's hips and back? I need to get rid of those. I'm going to try using a different tool for making a transparent image, and if that doesn't work, it's back to the drawing board.

Edit - SHE WORKS. SHE IS 100% WORKING WITH NO BUGS. Now I just have to test Goddess, which I would need a save for.

That's probably what's going on here. I used GIMP 2. I guess I have to find a way to keep things uncompressed in it! I appreciate it, Monterossa. I would really love to be able to get these in-game. Thanks so much. :)
