That's a yes. I actually grabbed it off my Xbox 360. But it still needs to be converted over to be compatible with the PC version's specifications. Not as easy as just dropping the files into place.

Well, it's possible that forcing the game to run in an unsupported resolution may be the cause.

GeDoSaTo on initial FFXIII did the same thing and it crashed all the time. Literally all the time.

Well, I made my post before having a conversation with Krisan, where we discovered it's actually a bit more complex than it seems. My basis for comparison was Krisan's renaming of "The Savior" (which would have been "Equlibrium" nomrally), and it did stick. I myself have not been renaming things, so I spoke out of turn. The reason it worked for The Savior and isn't working for anything else is because The Savior is in the field for a renamed entry. When you're renaming the string like I suggested, you're editing the placeholder for the garb title, which is why it doesn't stay after you reboot the game. The renamed names are stored in a separate place in memory, along with an internal flag that tells the game that you are using a custom name. So, if this is going to be done properly, either it will need some kind of soft app mod type thing, or a formal Cheat Engine table with pointers and the like will need to be created.

Right, the Siegfried and the 14 adornments are not obtainable any other way. The four garbs that Outerworld gave for free are and always have been purchaseable on Hard Mode.

That's... odd. And that shouldn't happen. When you change the name, it shows immediately on screen that the name is changed? Then as long as you don't delete that or change the garb on that then it should stick. I can't think of a reason why it would reset on a reload, the renaming functionality is still there, you just can't access it by conventional means. The only other thing I could think of is if you're editing the wrong string somehow, but if the name changes in the menu, and you save it, it should stick.

I've personally picked those things up (and the flowers and the mushrooms) so many times that I don't even need a marker. I know where they are. The markers were a nice thing on my first playthrough, though. I enjoy it when games let you make your own notes and guidelines in-game.

In the grand scheme of things, this isn't really that big of a deal. It doesn't really matter what the name of your schemata is from a gameplay perspective. And because most garbs have locked abilities, the garb name will be descriptive enough to let you know what's on the garb, plus you should probably have a handle of how your garbs are set up. Chocobo's name is also something that doesn't ever really come up. I'm not really sure why it's a feature. Naming map markers also, probably if anything is the only thing that would have a practical use, so you can label your markers so you know what it is at a glance. But the game does have different kinds of markers you can use, and you can develop a system with the different icons what they mean to you.

However, it is quite possible and very easy to rename things with Cheat Engine, if you really want to. Search for value type String and type in the thing you want to change, for instance, Mist Wizard. And then modify that String value to be whatever else you want it to be. There shouldn't be any adverse effects.

There's more pressing concerns for the modding scene of LR that need to be worked out first before we even try to start releasing mods. They've changed the way things work and have added some form of protection that will need to be figured out before things can be added. Have a little patience, and we'll figure something out.

I'm assuming you're using the classic Serah outfit from XIII? That's an intended workaround. Previous versions had Mog desynchronized with Serah's arms, so Krisan elected to have Mog be invisible instead. Using any other costume should have Mog be normal in the fanfare.
