As a curiosity, is it only Caius and Vanille that aren’t working? Meaning you can still get Phosphorus Ooze, Azure Behemoth, Nightblade Puma, Giant Cactuar, and Cactuar Prime? I’m wondering how broken it is, really.

If you play the game with Japanese audio, then you will get both Kimi ga Iru Kara and Eternal Love at their specified moments, instead of My Hands and Serah's Theme.

Neither Caius nor Vanille are % drops; they’re guaranteed, and you can get them multiple times, assuming you don’t have one of their crystal already. It shouldn’t matter if you beat the game or got the paradox ending prior to installing the mods, because of this.

Edit: Or rather, that's how it's supposed to work. I just tested it myself (I haven't played this game in a couple of years!), and it doesn't seem to be working now. I'll definitely report it as a bug, should be relatively simple to fix, I'd think.

Depending on what it is that you're asking for exactly, it's a bit unclear, you should be able to use the game's Cheat Engine table to accomplish what you're looking for. If I'm understanding you, and you're just wanting to be able to edit values, not like, modding characters to be other characters, which, from your mention of Gil specifically, makes me think you're looking to change values only? Square literally removed content from the game, the Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and I think the Style & Steel outfit as well. Reverting to 1.0 puts that content back into the game, and the mod is doing this, re-injecting the files back into their respective locations.

This is why we don't have Aerith's garb and equipment in Lightning Returns, because they took out the assets before the game was even released, so we don't have the original files to simply put back where they were. And taking the files from the console DLC and putting them in doesn't work either, because they coded it differently on PC.

2. Not really. The mobile/PC version is a different build of the game that uses a different file structure for its saves, so they won't be compatible. Only five hours shouldn't be terribly too bad to redo, though. A lot better than if you were like sixty hours in.

Oh wait, I forgot I actually did get some PS3 files back when the game was new on PC, I was talking about the possibility of this mod with Krisan and he gave me a pack that had the img files from PS3, which actually the white_p0000003img_e.ps3.bin file was slightly larger than the white_p0000003img_e.x360.bin file, for some reason. Here is that pack, unless the source you found also has the scr files, which were for some reason not in that pack, save you some trouble:

I didn't rip the PS3 files, and I forget where he got them from, but I don't think he ripped them, I think if I'm remembering right that he was given them from another friend.

I can't validate whether or not that website's files are the same or not, since you have to like the post to get the download link, and you can't like the post without making an account, and making an account just to be able to maybe get the same files I already have I don't think is worth the trouble. The content should be about the same if not identical between consoles.

The files are literally just not there, removed intentionally before release. I ripped the files from my Xbox 360 but it's not as simple as just putting them in and calling it a day, since they changed the internal coding up a bit. I lack the knowledge to fix it, else I would.

It is, the "P" standing for Police, it has a police car look to it. News to me that it's in the game. I haven't actually booted the game up yet (playing SMT Nocturne right now, want to finish that before moving on), I just know those three weren't listed on the Store Page.
