As far as I know there is no support for this in the Steam release nor is there a mod to include it. It was a minor feature in the original game that a lot of people never knew about frankly. But if you really want to play multiplayer I've seen many posts about this and the solution is simple if a bit...condescending. Just pass the controller around.

Ok I'll admit I was a little underwhelmed at first but once you hit about halfway through the vid I thought to myself "I'd play this." My only problem is I don't bother with Kickstarter. I AM a fan of Patreon though so if you ever start one of those for this I might support it once in a while.

Impressions. The concept is simple enough though the start of the story is...a little meh. I can only hope the story will be more fleshed out upon release or later in the game. The gameplay reminds me of RPG maker games which I love. The battle...I've never played octopath traveler so I can't say much there but it seems pretty good to me. I've certainly seen a lot worse.

Overall what you showed is only the very minimum of what you've got planned I think this could turn out to be a very good game. I'll certainly keep my eye out for it in the future.

For the record NG+ mods can be difficult to make at best. When it comes to this kind of thing just editing your save is by far the easiest method. Doesn't require any expert stuff. Just open the program. Navigate to the save. Edit what you want then save and start your game.

Some might require you to pass them through a checksum editor but I'm pretty sure most editors don't need this right now for FF games. The FF10 and 13 games needed this for a while.

FF8 from what I remember has stat raising items. They should be farmable in one way or another but if that's not your thing you can add them via a save editor. FF7 as well. For FF9 you need to edit the stats directly through an editor. You could do this for all of them I guess.

Not sure if the editors only soft edit stats directly though as some games have 2 different values. One that will edit the true stat and it will be permanent. The other will do the same job but resets back to the original value if you equip something that changes your stats.

Most of these games have a save editor somewhere. The amount you can do with those editors varies though. If you are confident then you could try a memory editing program.

FF9 has stat raising also through equipment, if you level up with certain equipments you'll get permanent increase through stats.
99 being the highest and in FF7/8 its 255. So you'd think you're raising stats faster in those (you are, but all 3 have relatively same pace)

I know you can raise stats in FF9 that way. But he's looking for a quick easy method like modding so grinding obviously isn't his thing. Hence why I mentioned editing stats directly.

Games as old as FF3 even if they have been remade usually aren't encrypted. Just compressed. So editing like this is much easier then more modern or high end games. Good luck.

Well you could try looking up some modding communities. If a tool doesn't exist somebody might be willing to make one for you. Then it's only a matter of finding the right files to extract and edit before replacing. Maybe a few small steps in between. As I said once you have the tool and a little know how I wouldn't think it's actually that complicated to do. Just time consuming. Even in an old game like FF3 there would be thousands of lines of text and that's discounting all the menus and stuff. That step might be a little more difficult. Not sure about that.

If the tool exists then it is in fact fairly simple most times but making the tool can be an issue and then the translation takes a long time and unless you have a dedicated translator who knows both languages well and all words translate 100% from one to the other then it's gonna take a long ass time to fully translate a game.

It requires a way to extract and insert text into the game replacing what is there at minimum. A tool to do that isn't always hard to come by. It's just the sheer amount of text there is in games like this that makes translation hard. Russian is a popular language for translation so naturally you are going to see that more often than Norwegian.
