Not really, but I've not been working on it this entire time either. I've been investigating Type-0 a bit lately with some colleagues, and tinkering around a bit with XIII-2 again in my spare time. That said, from what I have tried.. it's probably going to require someone writing a wrapper to circumvent the filtering the game engine calls for on up-scaling.

It's not impossible, XIII-2 has a change leader function after all, but it wouldn't be the easiest thing to implement either. It is something that would improve XIII considerably though, so it's worth investigating.

If you find anything interesting, feel free to share your results here. Never hurts to keep a repository of knowledge around, should anyone else come looking for it later.

Possibly. You'd need to give me an example of the bug, though. I never kept up with half the problems people had with XIII, so without being more familiar with it I can't make any promises.

You mean.. Have all six members active in battle at once, instead of just three? That's definitely an interesting request, I'll give you that one. The game isn't really designed with something like that in mind, though. Quite a lot of fundamentals would need to be changed for it.

While I wouldn't say it's impossible, it would definitely be quite a challenge. Amusingly though, this would be slightly easier to achieve in XIII-2, due to the different framework in place there.. but that game has its own problems, heh.

Again, what sprites are you trying to change? You're not just running the program on the sprite sheets as-is, are you? Because that obviously won't change anything, besides making it load slightly faster.
