Hello there, It's me again. Yesterday after disabling the CRT I wanted to repost a question to ask if it is possible to remove the music from the Hybrid instaler cuz my experience would be perfect with CRT off and the original music (Steam version have the SNES ost wich is awesome)... But I ended by create a "AWR Music Pack Removal" :) By using FFExplorer to create a .exe will replace the 369 sound/music by the original. Idk if it can be helpfull? It was for me actually ^^ Do u want a link?

How does the original (Steam) music loop? Is it in a format similar to MP3? The problem with these wave formats is getting the music to loop like it did on the SNES, but I'll assume the stock music loops well. I wouldn't know as I haven't purchased this yet.

Nice, a reason to buy the Steam port. Is it just me, or do some of the character sprites still have the pregnant gut? (Or however else you want to put it!) Everything else seems great though.

I've decided to hold back on getting FFVI for Steam until the old sprite project is complete. I wish there was a battle UI mod as I have watched a couple of videos of the Steam release, and it's really weird how the menus seem to creep up. Whoever designed this should be taken out back and shot.

Still, I'll buy this when I can replace those fugly sprites even if the battle UI sucks.

You are aware this game was designed with teenagers in mind, and nobody making it ever thought it would have a 'legacy' as a 'classic' except maybe Mr. Sakaguchi who seems to believe his own hype with alarming frequency? :)

That's a bit of a cop-out. This isn't to do with sprite resolution. Think of the difference in resolution between the original Final Fantasy and the PSP release. It's pretty significant. And similar to your argument there was a new demographic to cater to with the remastered FF. Yet... the sprites look quite beautiful?

So, I'm not talking about blockiness, but rather the complete lack of attention to detail and a very lazy job overall in the new FFVI. We're not necessarily looking for low-res sprites, just well-made ones which is absolutely possible in HD.

Are you fucking kidding me? At first I laughed my arse off at these sprites, but soon after I just found it a bit depressing! These are quite possibly the worst sprites I have ever seen in a non-indie commercial video game. There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever.

I'm pretty sure only k1ll holds his opinion. Assuming he isn't just trolling, that is. It's either trolling or that he's bitter after feeling forced to play the game with the god-awful default sprites.

As somebody who has spent countless hours on projects that were purely voluntary and didn't earn me a dime (hell, sometimes I ended up paying for my passion projects) I wholeheartedly agree with the rest of your comment.
