I agree with Sven. I even have games that I don't even play anymore and would like to give them to my kids to play with. I don't mind losing the right to play it.

What about games that you buy in a package but don't play them. Could I give those to my kids.

One other thing. I think it is really unfair that if you buy a package and you happen to have one of those games in your system already, to do not get a second copy to do with as you please.

I bought Far Cry 3 solo. Then I bought and paid for the packaage in full, but denied me a secon copy of FarCry 3. I paid for it... I should be able to have it to give as a gift... It's not right.

I have many titles that I purchased for my children under my account during the time when they were too young to have their own account - one is 8 and played terraria, lego star wars and pinballFx on my account for example. It would be great to have the ability to transfer the licenses to my son(s) accounts so that they could play them on their own PCs. I would happily revoke my rights to the license to be able to grant it to them.

Do note: I don't have these problems with the WII, ps2, ps3 or Xboxes we have in the house. The discs go where we want them to - and some of those discs are already second hand purchases. (yeah we're gamers)

While I applaud this step, I am slightly dissapointed we are still unable to share unused licenses between steam clients on our home LAN. It seems unfair that I cannot allow my sons to use my Ducktales while my own PC is off, or I am playing an entirely different game. Allowing a home to share licenses for single-use on any one PC - like it is done with shares music and other digital content in iTunes - seems much more fair. And it would not violate the game license since only one person/computer would ever use it at any given time. Asking me to buy 3 licenses for Ducktales just because we have 3 computers is silly and unnecesarry. We would purchase MORE games if they could be shared, so limiting our use of these games in fact also limits the amount of money we spend. Everybody looses!
