Ooh... a giveaway! When I first started school, my best friend lived next door to the local fire station, where his dad was a volunteer firefighter (they are all volunteers in Australian bushfire brigades (as opposed to the paid firefighters in the city brigades) and I lived in a semi-rural area). It had a pinball machine and my mate's dad would unlock the coin box so we could manually press the lever for free games. I don't remember much about the table but we spent hours on it trying to perfect our flipper timing when we weren't riding our bikes or playing in the creek.
