Morrowind is in my opinion the best game ever. Its map size and storyline is perfect. The amount of things you can say to the npcs and the gameplay mechanics add to its incredible atmosphere.

It's my favourite TES. You should try the Tamriel Rebuilt mod as well, for more hours of gameplay.

Mods are a huge part of the game too, so look up the nexus to find mods to shape YOUR Morrowind. For example, I started with Oblivion, so I downloaded mod called Oblivion style vampires for Morrowind so they had 4 stages, cuz I hated being a vamp and not being able to talk to people, its all about ur tastes. And I love it, its the first of what I call the "2nd Gen" Elder Scrolls games, when the game transformed and improved so much in my opinion (though you cant igore the first games), and made way to my favorite video games and one of the best games in the history of videogames.

Yeah, I hated not being able to talk to people when I was a vampire. I liked the benefits though. I will check out that mod!

Probably my favorite of the series, though it comes really close with some others. Many people I know didn't find the main storyline very engrossing, but for me, it is hands-down my favorite main storyline in the entire series. Maybe even my favorite, period. But... my Deus Ex loyalty would kill me for demoting it.

Its is the biggest, best, most immersive RPG ever made, and will always be the best. Christ, apart from Arena where they covered all of Tamriel (but will little detail), they only covered Cyrodil, Morrowind and Skyrim so far!

Most Elder Scrolls fans will probably hate me for saying this but I prefer Oblivion.
Sure Morrowind has a much better aesthetic & art direction but the UI, combat & various other things are way too dated for me & this is coming from a guy who's favourite game of all time is Neverwinter Nights witch is no spring chicken.
Unless it's heavily modded its clunkiness tends to result in me turning it off & playing Oblivion or now Skyrim.

Its become my favorite in the series honestly. I've tried to play the game many times before, but I was really wanting to try it again so I bought it on steam and have been hooked since. The atmosphere in Morrowind is really immersive and it seems more fantasy like compared to Oblivion and Skyrim. If graphics are an issue to anyone, I highly recommend Morrowind Overhaul. It makes it look 10x better.

it would be a shame to claim any elder scrolls game as a favourite, when they are all amazing in different ways. But the right word to use about Morrowind is charming. Morrowind has a certain athmosphere to it, which makes it worth many hours of gameplay.

I Actually recently just started Trying Morrowind. Oblivion is still my favorite, and always will be.
