This request may be interesting for some of you - especially the ones that are common youtube users or/and fans of movies, created within a game engine (machinimas).

The excitement with which people are following DOTA2 on streams and in videos is immense. The game offers so many cool and awesome situations, making it entertaining, not only when playing it by yourself. This has lead to the huge impact, channels like "DotaCinema" and their workers received over the last years.

I am a machinima artist as well, who worked with the source engine for quite some time, now getting started with DOTA2. On the other hand I'm a captain of one of the league-participating teams. For the movie, however, there won't be any seperation between the different opponents. All replays are welcome....at first.

There are a few criteria. The following points will give you an idea of what I am looking for:

• Well played matches as a whole are not requested. I am looking for specific moments (~max 40 seconds) that are interesting, unforeseeable, lucky, or showing a skilled player/team. The replay can be generic apart from that.
  
• Skill is more important than farm: Getting an unspectacular "rampage" with a farmed hero, by just autoattacking, is ok. But this scene will have a lower chance to get featured than the skillful use of abilities to kill one or two enemies, or just to escape.
  
• Escaping, saving another player, denying, etc are all valid contents of a replay

How to submit:

• Download the replay and watch it. Note the MatchID and the timecode, when the action takes place (which minute?). You can watch it with 4x speed to search for your moment more efficiently.
  
• Go to "Steam -> Steamapps -> Common -> dota 2 beta -> dota -> replays". The replays will be stored here, named by their MatchID.
  
• Upload the replay to a filehoster (file-upload[www.file-upload.net], etc). Those sites allow you to upload stuff and send a download link to another person.
  
• Contact me (Steam, Youtube) with the downloadlink of the replay, your ingame nickname, and the timecode of the action.

So far I made a very short beta, which should show you the mood and style of the movie. It was also done to test out my movie config and different camera modes, since they are a bit unique in dota, compared to other source games.
