In the event a game is no longer purchasable via an official seller (in retail [EB Games/Gamestop, etc.] or online [Steam, GOG, Origin, etc.]), the game is still NOT dead.

The definition of a dead game is: a video-game that can no longer be played by anyone on the planet whatsoever for any reason.

Games that can no longer be purchased can still be obtained elsewhere and played. Legally, copies of these games may be found second-hand. Less-than-legally, these games may be found on pirate sites.

Even if the game can ONLY be obtained and played less-than-legally, the game is still playable, therefore it is not dead.
