New Rules about being late and Extending Stage 1

Hello Team Captains,

It has come to our attention that many teams are late to their games. This is making it very difficult for other teams and we hope everyone would be more punctual. We understand that some teams are in different time zones but if you agree to a specific time to play, you have to stick to that agreement. To protect other players and encourage teams to be on time, the following rule will be implemented:

DELAYING THE GAME FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES
If a reasonable amount of time has been provided for both Teams to prepare for the match (at least 24 hours) and the opposite team is incomplete(e.g. not everyone has arrived) for more than 20 minutes, the team that is present will automatically win one game (of the two) by default. The 20 minute count down begins as soon as your own team is complete. For example, if the agreed time to play was 8pm AEST and your team completed at 8.10pm AEST, the opposing team must complete before 8.30pm AEST else ONE game is won (in favour of the present complete team) by default.

Otherwise, you can postpone the match to a later date. This bring us to the next topic.

Due to the coming Holy week, many players will be busy thus stage 1 will be EXTENDED until the 30th of April.

The new schedule is:

8th - 14th April - Stage 1, Round 2
15th - 21st April - Stage 1, Round 3
22nd – 30th April – Stage 1 Catch up games
1st May- Captains are informed about Stage 2
13th May - Stage 2 begins
Late May - Finals and Completion!

Tl;DR Please don’t be more than 20 minutes late or you will lose by default, and stage 1 has been extended.

Hello Team Captains!

Round 1 just passed and Cubicle Gaming would like to thank everyone for your cooperation. It has not been easy to organise 16 teams in this tournament but we hope that everyone had an awesome time playing Dota2 with people across the company! We had a few problems around communication so we cannot stress the importance of joining our Discord channel.

We also like to remind you of some rules…

ABSENT FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES: If a reasonable amount of time has been provided for both Teams to prepare for the match (at least 24 hours) and one of the teams was absent for more than 5 minutes without notifying the other team (via the dedicated Discord Channel), then the match is automatically forfeited in favour of the team that was present (two wins). In addition, a warning will be issued to the absent team for bad eSportsmanship and will be disqualified from the tournament if it happens the second time.
PAUSING DURING GAMES: It is forbidden to pause a game for no reason. In the same game, the total pause time can't be longer than 10 minutes (if a team pause the game for 3 minutes and later pause it again for 7, they can't pause anymore, unless the opponents agree with it). A pause shouldn't be longer than 5 minutes. In the case a longer pause being needed, the opponent and Admin need to agree. Un-pausing a game is only allowed if both teams agree to it in all chat or a pause lasted longer as 10 minutes and no further agreements were made. Abuse of the pause will lead to a disqualification. Screenshots of proof and the demo of the game must be uploaded into the match.
