I mean, we could still have a melee, but have some visual representation, so that you dont have an invisible advantage (or disadvantage). Also uh, you do realise you can reply by pressing the arrow button at the top right, right?

Yes, but we dont really want a hidden annoyance, do we? A good april fools idea shouldn't be annoying, but funny. Also I said change it to a backpack, not a secondary replacement. Keep it as a melee replacement
