Potential Reward
If you're going to implement such or a similar value on your website, i ahve a simple request based on current problems on CSGL. Instead of basing the potential reward on the odds/numbers of the bets, you should base it on the betted value.
You can ofc still keep a certain amount of skins to get the money you need but basing the potential reward on the amount of bets makes no sense at all.

Just an extreme example:
50/50 odds, 50 people betted on each side.
Side a betted a overall value of 1000$, side B of 100.
Based on the amount of bets, everyone would get 1$ for 1$ -> Not possible if Side A wins. If Side B wins, you ofc make a lot of profit (900$)
Based on the value Side A would get 0.1$ for each betted $. Side B 10.

This is ofc exaggerated but it believe it shows the problem. As i said, your service won't be payed from nothing so it should be possible to keep a certain percentage. Yet, the potential rewards will be true and more accurate.
By doing so, you stay out of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and people actually get what you promise them to get. They won't feel disappointed/scammed.

There are ofc disadvantages, especially if people want to bet a lot of money on underdogs. So another solution would be just not to show a potential reward at all. Or write a big, fat disclaimer which explains the situation so people won't be upset.
You just need to fix this problem, no matter how. Either trough clearly stating the situation and telling people (!) that its not based on the value of the bets but the amount of them or changing the system ^^

Opinions on this?

?????

Do you even understand how Lounge and Loot work?

Your idea to fix this problem doesnt make sense at all.

I would rather suggest a little item trader feature (without losing value): There is a lot of people out there that are tired of all those cheap nonsense skins - 0.02-0.04 cents - they keep winning. (I have like 100++ of those). Just make an option to trade those back with the bots for higher valued items to replenish bots with those cheap skins.

Hi Ancalagon, the system you've described I believe is being used by csgolounge and is extremely similar to what CSGO LOOT will operate. In the case where users do not want skins back of a certain value they might be able to bank credits and receive something of greater value later on.

Thanks for your suggestions :)

Well i orignally believed it would be how Lounge works. Would only make sense if it would be like this. Since i didn't knew how Loot would operate, i requested to take in this system.
Yet, based on the latest problems on lounge with people not getting their rewards after the games, it looks like something isn't working.
If the potential reward would really be based on the betted value, there would be this respective value availeble when the rewards are handed out.
Yet, apparently it wasn't, over all was more reward promised than there was value available.
So i just wanted to mention it ;)

Also, i believe your idea isn't too bad. I know the same from Dota, you got a shit ton of skins you don't really need and which aren't worth much. You can always try trade them for another quality level but if the value is going to increase is questionable.

Trade up contract?

If I did the math right the trade up contract value is really bad. If I remember correctly 0.02 * 10 skins nets you on average 7-8 cents.
