For your consideration. when unable to find some nice Pew pew or when idling in continuum, there is a nice little arcady top down space shooter called Gimbal. its on steam and is a pretty solid game.

the interesting thing about Gimbal is that you can build your own ships, it is top down and very arcady much like Continuum, it has a wide variation of weaponry and a couple of different game modes.

you can also host local servers and run bots, there is an advanced stand alone server available that allows you to limit certain kinds of weapons and set some more nice settings for the game.

the community is very small and has never really taken off, but if your on a search for some PEW PEW's and need a fix. Gimbal is worth a go.
