Hey, maybe change the description in the group profile now? The did fixit for us after all. There's no need to complain any more.

I hope they lower the price of the Civ IV colection soon, I really want it!

It is fixed! I restarted Steam, and everything loads just fine!

I don't think it is, but I had the same problem with the disc version. I have no idea why. Anyone had an experience like that running games? It seems like it may be related to it having opening FMVs?

Is Spore available for Mac via SteamPlay?
Grantly 13 May, 2010 @ 9:40pm
I installed the game on my new macbook pro 13" and it won't run! It opens and then immediately closes the app. Same problem happened with spore when I installed that... anyone know why this would be?

Hello folks. Just restarted my Steam. Civ4 games appeared ready for download. Rejoice! :)

Brought it some weeks ago (yep, not a $10...), and not showing on in my mac_steam game list...

I just think its a bummer they did this right after Civ 4 was on sale. Had I known it wouldn't work on mac as well (which one could reasonably assume it would since there's a mac version) I wouldn't have bought it.

This is pretty piss poor we need to get some bigger sites to bash this kind of BS put some pressure on Aspry and Steam to fix it for us.. If no one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than were never going to get a fix.. I think I will email Joystiq and Endgadget on this issue.

I was so excited when I saw Civ 4 was Steam play compatible, now this is not the case...

I Love Steam. I Love Civ. I Love my Mac. Let's have them all hook up and have a baby.

"The most common reason for this error is if the game you are trying to play was purchased prior to it being eligible for Steam Play support (May 12th, 2010). "

So lame.

I really hope they fix this because it is really crappy as it stands right now. I am excited that they finally have a mac client, and that I will be able limit my use of the windows partition, but I am really disappointed about the civ IV issue :(.

it's already there. We're actually waiting for a fix that allows us to play it if we owned it before, aren't we? :)
