Prepare for manliness

As you may know, CIHL is a player-oriented inhouse league for Springfield DoTA players. We will host lobby Captain's Mode games and compete to earn rating and prizes. I hope that this makes all of us better as players both individually and as a group.

Here is how matches will go down (subject to change.)
If you plan on playing a match for CIHL, create a lobby with 10 players from the league and message me. I will use player rating to form two teams out of the 10 players that are as equal in combined strength as possible. The team with lower combined rating then gets to pick one of two things--EITHER: Radiant or Dire, or 1st pick or 2nd pick. The other team gets to choose their preference in the other category. If the two teams are equal in rating, a coin toss will be held for which team gets the first decision.

Once everybody is on the correct side (with the correct order of pick prepared in settings), start a game of Captain's Mode. By default, the player with the highest individual rating on each team will be the captain (if they don't want to, they pick who the captain is.) The match will be played, and either one team's ancient will be destroyed or one team will BY CONSENSUS 'gg' out. IF you spam 'gg' in allchat and your team does not have at least 4 players that agree, you can be reported for BM and you can have rating deducted.

Once a team has lost, send me the details of the match. I'll update everybody's ratings and win/loss. I can watch replays to determine a winner if for some reason there is disagreement about the result of a game, but I will trust what I am told unless I am given reason otherwise.

In terms of in-game conduct, I don't care if there's allchat as long as it does not interfere with gameplay. Excessive flaming or griefing can result in a rating penalty. If you abandon a game before a team has won, either team can report you to me. If that happens, you will receive no points for any win, and lose full points if you lost + a minor penalty. I understand that there are sometimes events out of our control, but I ask that we are all conscious of any obligations before starting any game.

I will ask you guys about this, but I think that it's likely that I'll ask anyone that wants to play League games in a season to ante up one random rare. These will form a seasonal prize pool that will be distributed out to the top 3 players at the end of each season. Good luck!
