Windows XP
I have a copy of Black and White from 2002, I played it when I was kid on my Grandmother's desktop back in the early 2k's.

I also have B&W2 that I used to play on my Grandma's old dell laptop. I know for a fact that the laptop was Windows 8, because I was still able to revert it to Windows XP to play B&W.

I was able to find an old Dell XPS gaming desktop, using windows XP.

I was wondering if windows XP would be sufficient to run both B&W and B&W2, or if I had to have windows 7+. I also have some other abandonware that I've been itching to play again, hopefully XP works for those as well.

I remember playing both on Xp when I was a kid if I could so can you.

I recommend getting everything required such as DirectX updates and such.

If I remember yes, slight technical issues were they but because I had 4gb ram at the time

You can still install and play B&W 2 on win 10. You even can set your native res like 2550x1440 in game wich makes the game even more beautyfull. Don't know about B&W 1.
If its not working on win 10 you can try it with dosbox on win 10.

I played Black & White 1 and 2 on win 10, although i had to tweak my mouse settings for the second game. Other than this, there is a discord where they continue to update the game check it out.

What is the discord and how can you play the game on win10?
