Can't access menu options in Big Picture with controller unless I close top bar with the mouse.

Whenever I open Big Picture with the Xbox Home button on my controller, this top bar shows up which takes the focus of the controller. I can't access the options on the left side of the screen unless I use the mouse which completely defeats the point.

You're getting the Xbox Game Bar overlay (it's a whole screen thing).

Open the Game Bar and toggle the setting 'Open Game Bar using Xbox button on a controller' a few times, see if that addresses things. The setting is already toggled off in the screenshot so guess it's either not being respected or is incorrectly shown.

EDIT: If I'm remembering correctly I initially had issues setting things there. Think I had success via Windows Settings: Window Key + i, search 'Enable Xbox Game bar'
