Attention ANZACS,

We have decided to move away from “Teamspeak” as we were having too many issues keeping a stable server up. We tried different providers but none could meet our expectations and provide a reliable service. I know this may come as an inconvenience to some and we apologize for that, but we cannot keep using a service that is constantly causing us issues.

However we have setup a “Discord”[discordapp.com] server instead, which is a free service much like “Teamspeak”, however it is much more stable. We haven’t had a single issue using this service since we set it up and we are finding that it is giving us better VON quality.

Hey guys.

I hope most of you check this announcement, I know it's a bit tedious to read some of this stuff but it's for the good of the clan and to improve your skills and abilities to work with other people in Arma-Anzacs.

I propose a few ideas to incorporate in our play sessions, feel free to give your opinion and any other suggestions you may have:

1) First of all, we should start doing weekly exercises to train teamwork and tactical abilities. This includes, of course, working in a team, learning about the other members' skills, weaknesses and their way of thinking. This also includes taking a tactical, effective and the most safest approach to a riskful situation.
These would include ARMA scenarios, 1-on-1 discussion in TeamSpeak with what will be your buddy (will discuss in next point) and hopefully we will incorporate teamwork focused games into the mix (SWAT 4? Planetside 2?)

2) Incorporating a 'buddy system' widespread across the clan. Due to our current size, focus and effectiveness, you will remain with a specific buddy until we're able to expand and rotate on buddies. Essentially what I invision with this is a way to allow a team-based exercise based on working with another player to achieve a specific goal, which combined with the other buddy teams effectively completes a larger goal.
It also allows people to maintain a certain comfort when performing on the battlefield; it allows you to work with someone you are used to and can connect with on a greater level than any other average player.

3) I also want to encourage an open mind when it comes to discussing, commenting and working with other people to allow for everyone to speak their mind, no matter what. It doesn't matter if you're young or old, for or against, sure or unsure (however accurate information is recommended). This goes for forum chatter, discussions in IM or TeamSpeak, and even on the battlefield. Don't be afraid to speak out.

4) Maintain a positive, encouraging and determined state of mind. This goes for in the virtual world, sitting in a forum or TeamSpeak channel or in real life (even if it's not affiliated with Arma-Anzacs). Remaining confident and on your feet is a strong rule towards progressing not only the clan, but yourself as a person. I believe everyone can be happy if they let themself be.

Feel free to give your opinions on anything I've written. I'm looking forward to seeing at least a single comment here. Remember that we get out what we put into this clan; do your best to support it, advertise for it, welcome people into our abode and be yourself.
