Need In-Game Admin Help? Grid Restoration Requests & Clang Disclaimer:

If server unexpectedly crashes and players that were on a ship lost or wrecked that ship because of that server crash, then I will help them get that grid back.

However, if a grid explodes because it was utilizing something that's currently buggy in the game, specifically wheels, rotors, pistons, merge blocks, locked landing gears, or connector magnet strength not turned off, it's just part of what Clang intended and I have to respect Clang's sacrifice.

Please see Clang Prevention Best Practices for experienced advice on how to avoid Clang events: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/groups/alamohardcoresurvival/discussions/0/3288067088128599807/

Here are a few exceptions where I will help with grids if server doesn't unexpectedly crash:

Exception 1 (AKA Stuck Grid): There is a known bug on dedicated servers when a grid is built from blueprint. There's a chance that once you finish constructing the grid and connect it to a station connector, this grid becomes "tethered" to the landing pad or connector it last connected to like a rubber band, and the ship will not be able to fly. If any experienced players know how to prevent this from happening please let me know so we can spread the word.

Other Exceptions: If you can recreate a "game-breaking" bug that requires in-game admin intervention & that doesn't have to do with Clang, let me know and I will add it here as an Exception.

Anyhow, post your grid restoration requests & explanations below. Post screenshots if possible. I will get to the request ASAP. As a best practice, please keep your in-game grids saved in your own blueprints library so I can give you temp admin to paste.

TLDR: If server crashes, I'll help you out. If Clang happens, sorry for your loss.

well, i have some experience with the "tethered" from prior servers. it seems the tether is to a specific block on the grid. Unfortunately I know of no way to determine which one it is. In some cases I had to tear apart most of a ship before untethering the grid.

I did encounter a bug. While launching, I got up to 10280m and climbing. Then suddenly I was at 10220m and rising. I would rise to 10250-1280 before being reset to 10220, repeatedly. I was stuck in this loop until I gave up and descended back to the surface.

Thanks for the info . If this happens in the main iteration I’ll cut/paste.
