Lord Peers
The Lord Peers listed below are men who hold ancient and noble titles of English, Scottish, or British descent or are priests and clergymen granted a seat in the Lords Temporal. All Lord Peers have the ability to propose, debate, and vote on legislation in the House of Lords. The privileges of a Lord Peer can be revoked during the course of and in the aftermath of a trial by the Lords of Appeal in Ordinary, otherwise known as the Law Lords.

      The Law Lords listed below are men who hold ancient and noble titles of English, Scottish, or British descent. All Law Lords have the ability to propose, debate, and vote on legislation in the House of Lords. Law Lords may sit in judgment of fellow Lord Peers when they are brought to trial. A trial of three Law Lords (the Lord Chancellor and two additional Law Lords) will comprise the judicial panel. Law Lords may lose their privileges if they are found to be corrupt, if they are on trial themselves, or if they have any conflict of interest in a certain case. All Law Lords are certified to practice law in a court of law.
