MAC-10 - Zombie Weapon of The Day

The Mac-10 is an ultra compact sub-machine gun that fires at 1145 rounds per minute. That’s about 19 rounds per second. The whole concept behind using these guns in a zombie situation is that you have such a high amount of bullets being expelled in a short amount of time. The Mac-10 generally has a collapsible stock, and only measures 10.7 inches with the stock collapsed. These weapons are extremely great if you are on the move, because they are very compact, and only weigh 6.26 pounds. They are very easy to reload, just jam the bullets in the 30 round magazine, and shove it in the gun. The only real disadvantage with the Mac-10 is that it runs out of bullets very fast. However, each one of its 30 rounds, is a .45 ACP caliber which has substantial stopping power when it comes to humans or the undead. Remember, if you’re using Mac-10’s your job is to be a complete bullet hose.

Shotgun - Zombie Weapon of The Day

The shotgun, no matter what caliber, can be an excellent weapon and tool in a zombie apocalypse situation. Even though you see this weapon is so man different zombie movies and games, it really is one of the best guns you can have. The ammunition is very common for most shotguns, and also very versatile. You can use different types and sizes of shot for different activities. Shotguns are very good at killing “herds” of zombies because of the way the shot spreads out once it exits the muzzle. There are not that many moving parts in a shotgun, and they are generally pretty durable which make them ideal for situations where they might get a little banged up or dirty. And for how useful, and tough they are, they are extremely cheap at most stores. As is the ammo. 12 gauge shots generally run about $7.00 for a box of 25 shells. That’s pretty good considering how much firepower and versatility shotguns have overall.
