Game works, can load it up and everything but when I start the campaign it just crashes. It doesn't matter what settings I use, which character I play as or what dlc I have installed its all the same. Any help please?

Damn just bought all main dlcs i didnt have from before the 2.3.6 patch and still doesnt work :(

Thanks for the answer first. I already tried with version 2.3.6 and all dlcs disabled. Is it mandatory to have all dlcs which where released up until this version? For example do i need Sword of Islam or The Republic to be able to play? Thanks again for your help :)

You need to revert to CK2 v2.3 and disable the expansions released since that patch (Horse Lords, Conclave and associated minor DLCs).

Hello @all im new here and areally big fan of ck2 and the witcher and just today discovered this mod, so id love to try this. Like many i have the issue that if i start the game and chose a character it crashes...doesnt it work if i dont own any specific dlc's or can i reset it to an older version so it would work? Thankful for any answer. Cheers

I just installed the mod, but as soon as I click the starting point (Assassin of Kings) the game crashes. I already tried reinstalling it :/ Any idea what the problem might be?

It should be compatible with the most recent version of CK2. Someone broke something with Elves, though.

You can get bastards and legimitize them. In lore Saskia is probably not able to get children with non-dragons. She is set as immortal so she won't die unless someone kills her (in battle / by plot). You are right, only one crown law change per life. But that is something we can actually fix since 2.4. as there's a define that can be used for that. I'll look into it.
The combination of titles thing is a good idea. It has actually been implemented before but the tier upgrade broke that (fixed in the dev version).
Every county in a de jure empire is totally doable. Just tell me where to put the central area of the map. Making it de jure Nilfgaard would strengthen N. A LOT. And I don't really want a Nilfgaard that can't possibly fail.

I'm currently playing as Saskia and I had a few questions about her "unique circumstances". I know you made her immariageable, but is their any way for her to spawn heirs, or can she even die? If she can't die, does this mean I can't change any more crown laws for this entire game?

I also had a few suggestions for the whole empire tier title thing you're doing with the Northern Kingdoms:

I've seen people request a kind of Northern Empire title a bit and I think a cool way to do that would be something like the Samrat Chakravartin decision in the base game. So if you hold the Temeria, Kaedwen, Aedirn and Redania empire titles you can merge them all into one Northern Empire.

I also think that editiing the map such that every conty is de jure part of some empire would be nice.

There'll probably be a compatibility patch including a few new things once the next DLC is released (CK2 v.2.4)

Can someone please help me? I have instaled version 0.57 but whenever I open the game the screen turns black and nothing happens. Other mods and the base game are working fine, the problem is with the witcher mod only.

When I install the latest version of the mod (0.57) for CKII 2.3.4, it crashes the moment I attempt to load the scenario. Is there a fix for this?

Late answer: These changes were made as part of the general province number increase we did. Upping the title tier by one did make sense at the time. Kaedwen is pretty damn huge, some places in Redania and Temeria are said to be kingdoms but vassals of Foltest/Radowid. But sure, it can be changed back. Makes more and more sense to me, actually.
Lord Apricot, If you know your way around CK2 modding please consider to help out. We have a constant lack of manpower around here ;)
Changing that back isn't all too much work, you are right. Renaming e to k won't quite cut it, though. And naturally changing it back is quicker then the other way around. You don't need to draw flags etc. for that.

Why did you make this change in the first place? Also changing a few titles to king tier is hardly tens of hours of work, all you have to do is change e_titlename to k_titlename.

If i remember correctly, in the old versions each of the northern kingdoms were kingdom tiered, instead of empire tier. Can you revert it and make the northern kingdoms a part of a large de jure empire like nilfgaard so you can, as a northern monarch, set out to create an empire of your own. Also, if it's not there a casus bellis for invasion of neighbouring kingdoms would be nice.

I think Elder kings may have quite a few custom models for deadric armies and elves, argonians, and so on. It is just frustrating becuase the mod itself is very well developed and fun, but when you see these elven or dryad armies as humans in heavy armor, mail, and round shields, its just a let down.

Until recently this was pretty much impossible. Some guy recently created a tool that allows you to create custom models. I haven't tried it myself, though and I am yet to see a mod that makes good use of it.

The number of provinces was roughly doubled in the north (and will be probably increased in the south, too, in the future). The new provinces in Upper Aedirn are indeed not as rich as they should be. I'll fix that for 0.4.2 (the halfling release (TM))

Since Upper Aedirn is supposed to be the "breadbasket of the north" wouldn't it make sense to make the holdings in Upper Aedirn atleast those which contribute to the economy more developed instead of downgrading holdings in the northern kingdoms.

Upper Aedirn is said to be worth as much as all of Kaedwen. If all of Kaedwen is highly developed then this would certainly not be the case. I even pondered if it would make sense to make some Kaedweni provinces tribal at game start.

Fair enough but I noticed that many of the holdings were undeveloped in many provinces which may have contributed to the low troop numbers.

I can change the text if you think it is necessary. You see the troop numbers depend on the martial stat of various rulers as well as personal relations. Giving him more would probably result in Henselt always winning that war while he really should lose every once in a while. Hard to represent a magic barrier you can't pass or (for some reason) walk around + a dragon helping out in battle every once in a while
