Today, Mustafa İsmet İnönü, current leader of the Turkish State, addressed his people on a very controversial topic.

The return of the exiled Royal Family.

These are the days of pain and suffering, the days of shame, and in these moments, life always finds something to blame.

We are a proud people.

For over Six Hundred years, our nation continued to bask under the glory and light of both Victory, and God. Yet in the darkest of moments, in our failure, we were so quick to lose sight of who we truly were. The very people who once forged an empire were cast away in but a mere moment.

It may be true that House Osman no longer compares to the heroes of the past, but that is the point, the heroes of the past, are of the past. We must always be looking towards the future, to rekindle the light of this great Turkish state of ours, and the first step in doing so is to crush the disunity of our peoples. To finally welcome the bloodline of the founder.

It is with pride and honor that I am the one to welcome the Children of Osman back to the land of Türkiye after nearly 15 years of exile.

The speech was met with silent applause, many in the audience looking to one another with questioning and worried faces.

While the polticians were mired in debate and arguments over the return of the Royal Family, the citizens of the nation were more receptive. In the light of the Turkish state's fall from international importance, lower strata's often look back to a state's history. To the Turks, heroes like Mehmed II or Sulieman I have always been figures of respect. Thus to them, while they would likely be hesitent to give any significant power back to the Osmanli family, they are more open to the idea of their existence at the very least.

Mustafa İsmet would execute a moderate level of executive power to shift the governace of Turkey into a Constitutional Monarchate, with the Osmanli family as the figure head. The Turkish government, however, stands by the absolution of the Caliphate to eliminate any risk of religious power that may be grapsed by the family.


The exiled Caliph's return was largely the result of discrete German influences. Since the Caliph's return, many members of the Turkish administration have begun making moves to pick a side, many lower officials looking to rise quickly using the Caliph as their honey pot. Several older officials with significant influence have noticeably alligned themselves with the Caliph.
