Vortessence

Vortigaunts believe in a binding life-force which they have termed in human language as the "Vortessence". It is described as the fabric of the universe made up of "vortal cords", by which everything is woven and connected. This unknown force is an integral aspect of Vortigaunt culture which affect every aspect of their life.
